MCAV Get Together poetry:
The Don Kneebone Poetry Competition is one of the richest on the bush-poets circuit, with more than $1500 in prize money available.
The Don Kneebone (bush poet) is a performance competition and the entry must be original. The poem/song is permitted to be read and Bush Poets/Singers. The rules have been updated and previous winners are now able to re-enter for this prestigous award.
The Peter McCormack Bush Laureate (written entry) is a written competition. Entrants for this can be sent to the email secretary@mcav.com.au
The Jack Treasure Traditional performance - a performance of Traditional Bush Poetry. This can be a performance of a piece written by other poets.
The Laurence Webb Junior Award - Juniors are defined as 16 years and under and are eligible for each category.
The Jim Commins Judges Choice. Where Judges may award a good performance which may not fit other categories, all entries automatically eligible.
