![]() ![]() MCAV Heritage Tent Photos by Wendy Jubb Stoney The three roomed Heritage tent attracted a steady stream of visitors. Meg Allen and Katherine Taylor demonstrated the crafts of carding and spinning wool in the 'work room'. Around the corner was the 'wash house with a copper and a hand agitator washing machine and wringer - with the dunny out the back. Kerrie Purcell and Marty Briscoe loaned pieces of furniture to create an authentic kitchen. John Lovick's "Mulga Bill's Mowing Machines" was displayed oustide and attracted much interest. The Lovick, Purcell, Campbell and McCormack families contributed boards full of photos from the early days. On the walls of the 'homestead' were many large photographs loaned by the Stoney family and in the tack room they had a pack saddle displayed alongside the original Wonangatta saddle, loaned by the Mansfield Historical Society. Additional information, photographs and stands about the local Cattleman's families was also loaned by the Mansfield Historical Society. ![]() The heritage kitchen with props donated by Kerrie Purcell and Marty Briscoe. ![]() ![]() From left John Lovick's "Mulga Bill's" mowing machines, heritage washroom and Wonnangatta saddle. |
